The 2 course, 4 week, 6 credit elective curriculum will be based in Berlin Germany, a city rich in the architecture developmental history and innovation moderninternational design with travel around Germany Netherlands and Denmark included. Highlights are the modern architecture of BjarkeIngelsGroup/ BIG in Copenhagen, Tours in Germany include work ofHelmutJahn, CoopHimmelblau,HerzogdeMeuronandFrei Otto. In Berlin revitalizedPotsdamer Platz,Pariser Platz, AlexanderPlatzas well as tours of Dutch Embassy,OMA,GSWBuilingbySauerbruch/Hutton are highlighted. Berlin, a city rich in neighborhoods, we will visit thepre-war Jewish quarter, newholocaust memorialand museum, the architectureof Albert Spear and new government office and residential development of theTiergartendistrict.
